This display measures 16.5" wide by 48" high.

The sword bayonet on the left is a K-29 U.S. Navy M1871 for a Remington Model 1870 rifle. The number "5" is prominent on the guard. The handle is brass with fish scale designed grips, pommel has a crossed "anchor and cannon" engraving, and has "AMES MFG. CO.- Chicopee" on one side of the blade and "USN- CGS- 1871" on the other side. The blade is 20" with an overall length of 24 3/4"and comes with the correct scabbard. Black leather scabbard with brass mountings, obverse-side throat frog, & square-toed drag. Leather has moderate cracking in one spot with the rest bright & strong, with light cracking. Brass exhibits smooth medium coppery patina.  

The sword bayonet on the right is a Civil War United State Model 1862 Zouave Collins & Co. Sword Bayonet. The bayonet features a brass handle, 22 1/2" blade, and rear slot. This Civil War sword bayonet, was for the 1863 Remington Contract Rifle, more popularly known as the Zouave Musket. The bayonet is marked "Collins & Co. Hartford, Conn. " The serial number is G 121. Overall length is 27 1/4" L. Black leather scabbard with brass mountings, obverse-side throat frog, & square-toed drag. Leather is bright & strong, with light cracking. Brass exhibits smooth medium coppery patina.
