Whale Tail Necklace

This is a pewter replica of a Scrimshaw whale tail. The Scrimshaw Whale Tail used for model was donated by the Black Whale Gallery (home to the Scrimshaw artist Nancy Lyon). 

1 1/4" pewter pendant on an 18" snake chain.

The technique of replicating the exact shape of sea creatures was developed by Jeff Mitchell, a pewter smith who lives in Wellfleet, Cape Cod. All sea creatures are cast in a high grade lead-free pewter.
