This stunning wheel dates from the 1800's and is in excellent shape. The King Spoke is clearly marked with a Bosun's tied Turk's Head knot indicating the rudder amid ships location. The solid brass hub is huge and tight indicating quality construction. The mounting shaft protrudes 9" from the back of the wheel with the original mounting bearings as shown. Truly one of a kind nautical piece of history!
