Antique Wooden Block

This substantial antique wooden block shell once formed part of the working rigging aboard a sailing vessel. Measuring 13.5 inches long by 8 inches wide, it was originally fitted with an iron or wooden sheave (pulley wheel), which is now missing. The block retains its original integrated rope strop at the top, carved directly into the body.

The surface shows a weathered patina with traces of white paint and natural wear from years of use at sea. Its bold scale and authentic character make it an impressive statement piece for nautical décor, maritime collections, or as a display accent that captures the rugged beauty of working ship hardware.
