Manufactured for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships by the Beck-Lee Co. Chicago. This antique is perfect working condition. The original 120 volt red lamp is still in use, and it has been reoutfitted with a rocker switch activated vintage style cloth wrapped cord for convenience. Its wooden base appears original in nature. The upper dome is removeable to expose the compass, or can be viewed by sliding open the brass shields. The compass face and glass are in excellent condition and show well when subtly illuminated. 11" tall x 19" wide x 10" deep. This is one of the nicest, most complex navigational aids we have stocked in many years!
