This is a very rare antique quadrant made by Dring & Fage, Tooley St. near London Bridge (as signed in the middle of this Quadrant).The main inscribed scale is 0-100 degree. One cracked sight mirror, majority of metal is rusted and oxidized. Comes inside a wedge shaped box. There is loose, and indiscernible text layed inside the box.
A quadrant (also called a Octant) measures up to around 90 degrees, with some more. A sextant measured up to around 120 degrees. This is a predecessor to the sextant, making this a very rare find in the U.S., as this particular one originates from England.
