Market Street Railway Company Uniform Buttons, Pair

A pair of vintage buttons, which could be found on the uniforms of employees of the Market Street Railway Company.

The Market Street Railway Company was a commercial streetcar and bus operator in San Francisco, with the heart of its network centered in and around Market Street in San Francisco. Once the largest streetcar operator in the city, the company ceased operations in 1944 and its assets were acquired by the city-owned railway.
