The Maritime Republic of Eastport was founded on Super Bowl Sunday 1998. Today, MRE's mission is to find creative ways to promote and encourage the patronage of Eastport businesses and to celebrate Eastport's proud heritage. MRE is a nonprofit 501c3 and proceeds from merch and events go to deserving local charities, per their mission.
