USS Amphion AR-13 Plaque

U.S. Navy ship’s plaque from the USS Amphion (AR-13), measuring 7 inches in diameter. Cast in metal with enamel paint, it depicts a black octopus in red vest with extended tentacles clutching tools and weapons — symbolic of the ship’s role as a repair vessel with many “arms” of capability. The surrounding ring reads “U.S.S. Amphion AR-13”. The back shows original mounting traces and wear consistent with age. The USS Amphion served as a repair ship in the U.S. Atlantic Fleet during and after World War II, making this an excellent collectible for naval history enthusiasts.
