Original naval propulsion-related display featuring a Shaft Revolution Indicator System identification plate manufactured by The Electric Tachometer Corporation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, dated March 1943.

Mounted beneath is a Standard Bell Code instruction plaque outlining engine room propulsion commands for ahead, stop, back, and full-speed operation based on propeller shaft rotation.

These systems were used aboard naval and merchant vessels to monitor propeller shaft revolutions and communicate propulsion orders throughout the ship.
