Offered here is an original vintage ship’s lantern made by Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Co. (PERKO), a respected manufacturer of marine hardware since the early 20th century.
This authentic nautical lantern is constructed of heavy galvanized metal with a ribbed Fresnel glass globe and surrounded by a protective wire cage. It retains its vented chimney and hanging bail handle. The maker’s brass tag is intact and reads: “Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Corp. – Brooklyn, N.Y. (PERKO).”
