Original World War II-era postcard featuring the classic U.S. Navy Seabees insignia and motto “We Build and Fight With All Our Might!”. Issued to members of the United States Naval Construction Battalions during WWII. The front shows the iconic fighting bee with hammer, wrench, and gun framed by anchors.
The reverse side is handwritten and postmarked from Camp Peary, Williamsburg, Virginia by PFC Andres Gonzales, describing his arrival and daily experiences in training. It is addressed to Mr. Earl Hulbert, San Diego, California and sent free under military postal service rules. This is not just a postcard, but a personal piece of WWII history.
